Leslie joined our team in June this year as the Director of Human Resources, representing our founding of an HR department. Leslie is responsible for the strategic Human Resources alignment of programs, processes, and priorities for Seraphic’s short-term and long-term strategic goals. She helps to attract and retain ideal team members through strategic talent acquisition and retention and through talent management plans, including comprehensive benefits and developing a healthy culture. She helps to act as the glue that continues to foster the Seraphic culture as we grow.
Leslie comes to us with over 20 years of Human Resources experience. She gained seven years of leading-edge human resources business partner experience at LexisNexis, a large, global provider of legal, regulatory and business information and analytics. She them moved to WorldStrides, a medium sized, accredited student educational travel company where she helped lead the HR function, implementing key Human Resources practices, such as improved talent acquisition and onboarding practices and founding the employee and leadership development programs.
After ten years, she transitioned to the University of Virginia for six years in order to focus fully on organizational development. She became the manager of UVA leadership and employee learning and development function, helping to found the Center for Leadership Excellence at UVA. She was also selected to act as an essential player in the project to transform HR and to integrate HR across the University and the Health System, leading the way for Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Onboarding, Offboarding, and Career Development. Leslie has received many bonuses and awards for her high performance and results over the years, including the company cruise two times at WorldStrides. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Virginia and is certified as a Senior Professional in HR, SHRM-Senior Certified Professional, and HCI certified Strategic Workforce Planning professional.
